Your doctor can run titer tests (blood tests that check for antibodies) to see if you already have immunity.
This is common for MMR, Hepatitis A & B, and Varicella. You can also:
Check your state's immunization registry — most states have an online portal
Contact your childhood pediatrician for old records
Ask your school or college — they often keep vaccination records on file
Check with your pharmacy — CVS, Walgreens, etc. keep digital records of vaccines they administered
If records can't be found, it's generally safe to re-vaccinate. Talk to your doctor.
Important: This checklist is based on current guidance from AAFP,
with AAP, ACOG, and WHO sources used where relevant. It is not medical advice. Consult your healthcare
provider to confirm which vaccines are right for you based on your complete medical history.
